Eyecare Center – Fondazione Leonardo Del Vecchio

Goal

Establishment of an ophthalmic center of excellence in Kigali to house an ophthalmology graduate school and a support center for the visually impaired and blind patients and research facility.
The aim is to become the best ophthalmic hospital on the African continent and be recognized among the “best in class” worldwide. It will operate as a private facility integrated with the Rwandan public health system in agreement with insurance companies operating in the country.
